Roy wol

Roy Wol is a NY based Argentine-Israeli-Turkish producer. He recently produced Flavio Alves’ TOM IN AMERICA starring academy award nominees Burt Young and Sally Kirkland; Doug Karr’s feature narrative: ART MACHINE, starring Joseph Cross, Jessica Szhor (GOSSIP GIRL), Christopher Abbott (GIRLS, MARTHA MARCY MAY MARLENE) and Golden Globe nominee Joey Lauren Adams which premiered at the 2012 Woodstock Film Festival; A WIFE ALONE which premiered at 2013 Brooklyn Film Festival, and Hank Devos’ KILL YOUR TELEVISION (distributed by Quat! Media). Wol supervising produced films like CAIHONG CITY (a Romanian-Chinese sci-fi) ARKADYA which was featured on Ted Hope’s prestigious Hammer-to-Nail film list, and FORWARD, a documentary about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. His films focus on family dramas, immigrating and counter cultures and have been screened

in a long list of film festivals internationally. Wol has also worked in the development for numerous independent features including THE BABY FORMULA which went on to receive a telefilm grant and a slot in the Oscar qualifying Nashville Film Festival, and more recently he is one of the producers of THE NAKED MIND, a documentary about the transformational effects of Meditation in the human mind (Starring Dalai Lama, Matthieu Ricard, Fleet Maull). Mr. Wol has guest lectured in various institutions and universities on World Cinema and film production, and has recently served as the Jury of Washington, DC Chinese International Film Festival. Wol, is currently producing an installation featuring the world renowned painter Marc Dennis and filmmaker Liron Unreich and running Autonomous Pictures from Chelsea.
